If you’re an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen, your parent(s) may be able to join you in Australia.

Child Visas
Bring Your Child to Australia
Child visas allow eligible children to join their parent(s) in Australia permanently.
Child Visa Eligibility:
- The child must be:
- Sponsored by a parent or the parent’s partner
- Single
- Either:
- Under 18 years of age, or
- A full-time student aged 18–25, or
- Over 18 and unable to work due to a disability
- Either:
- The child may also include their own dependents in the application.
Sponsoring Parent Must Be:
- An Australian citizen, or
- An Australian permanent resident, or
- An eligible New Zealand citizen
(The parent’s partner may also act as sponsor.)
